Who we are

The team at KMT Events comprises of Mary and Kelvin Tan.

Both Mary and Kelvin are skilled Information Technology (IT) professionals so they are both analytical, process-driven and have excellent project managements and organisational skills.

They are detailed, highly motivated problem solvers – loving challenge and budget conscious.

They embarked on event management   business at the start of 2011.

Mary is passionate about conference, meeting and event management and strives to create a unique and special experience for her clients.She is an organized and disciplined who manages multiple tasks and high stress situations. She believes very strongly in connecting and building relationships, meeting and helping people.

Mary loves the challenge of putting an event together – dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s – ensuring all requirements are met.

Mary’s background is in Software Engineering (IT), coupled with project management, she is able to apply a methodical approach, with a fine attention to detail, which translates into smooth running events.

Mary is the current President of the Chinese Professional and Business Association (CPBA), Vice President of the Caribbean Society of Victoria (CaribVic) and a general committee member of Australian Chinese Events Committee (ACEC).

Kelvin is a self-motivated, creative professional who loves challenging projects.

Kelvin comes from an Information Technology (IT) background in the financial sector, working in many varied computer companies both in Melbourne and the UK.. Because of this, he has an analytical approach to event organizing which is an asset due to the many tasks involved.

He is involved with all aspects of the events with his strengths being in the project management of the event timeline, finance and budget expenses of the event. He is responsible for the cost analysis of events to determine ticket price and projected expenditure of the event.

Why we do it

Love the organisation of an event – putting all the elements together. An event is like a jigsaw where all the pieces have to slot together to make a successful event. When the last piece slots into place, it’s a wonderful feeling of achievement and satisfaction to see the client happy and the objective of the event met.

Who are our clients

Our clients come from varied industries including IT Consultancy, IT User Groups, Local BusinessCommunity, Direct Sales, Logistics and Freight Industry.

Our client base is Small to Medium businesses, especially the IT and Engineering sector, and Associations.

 

 

Testimonials

2014 was an important milestone for CPBA. We were required to hold a commemorative event for celebrate
our40thAnniversary. In order to achieve this, we needed professional guidance and hence, engaged the services of PAE.The Gala Dinner was held at The Hotel Windsor last August. It was a fantastic event! There was overwhelming feedback from the guests. Both Mary and Kelvin attended to the most minute details and the individual needs of our guests in organising this event.

Since then, we have retained PAE for further events and they have organized two other events to date for the sponsors (of the Gala Dinner). Both events were held at different locations and both met the objectives for the sponsors.

Professional Bookkeeping Service

We were very happy with PAE organisation, attention to detail, sourcing of venue, musicians & gifts, follow-up with menu, flowers, vases, cake, programme, etc. and from our perspective, it was also very good value for money spent.  We were very impressed with the attention given to our dietary restrictions. Over all we much appreciated that we were provided individual costs for all required items with a “professional PAE fee” on top, rather than having the PAE fee incorporated into each item. Overall, it’s irrelevant whichever method is used as either way would achieve the same outcome, but I always prefer the “honest” method, which is what PAE provided for PBS.  The greatest value for us was in having professionals (Mary & you = PAE) overseeing the whole event.
